I need to upgrade from my craftsman random orbital. Is there anyhthing else out there besides a PC? Where's a good place to purchase one?

spend the money and get yourself a PC. you wont regret it. ive purchased 2 cheap buffers, and for 60 bucks more, i couldve gotten a PC... doh

here's a reputable brand, DeWalt: dont know the reviews of the buffer itself though, but here is the link:

the PC is a really good orbital, another good brand is the makita and the flex. A sponsor from S2ki sells those and you can get a discount. You can get a PC kit for 152.95 plus tax and shipping with a backing plate, and 2 of each pad you'll need.

Check them out at www.detailersdomain.com
the discount code for 10% off you use is s2ki

sucks though, you just missed the memorial day special of 18% off

The one i was talking about was this
http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=4

You dont get a choice of two pads but you get a total of 6 pads included with the kit. 2 for medium polish, 2 for final polish and 2 for glazes and waxes.

If you don't have any good polishes and waxes they also offer a good deal on a kit with polishes and waxes included. Or you can add some stuff to the kit I posted.

The PC is a great tool but if you decide on a different one, make sure you get one that has different speed settings because you'll need to work things in differently.

oh and btw, while you're ordering learn from my mistakes, the more pads the better. So many times I had cars to polish but my pads weren't dry or clean from the last time. Next time, which should be soon, I'm ordering a bunch of pads just so then I can change em out mid detail or save em for the next car.

yeah, it shouldnt sound like that at all. it should sound like a whirling/drone sound. you might want to call the place and tell them about it. i feel bad you got a bad PC, because its such a great tool orbital.
