I only do that roughly about a week after the event is over. Reason being is that I try to keep things organized and up to date. All the OLD threads are locked to prevent it being bumped to the top of the forum; which in turn, knocks down the NEW thread to the bottom.

you should only lock the ones that passed already and no longer to date.... what if I want to comment a thread that's hasn't occured yet?
