AutoCross In May

Date and time:
May 23rd & Sept 19th
7am-4pm

Location: Camarillo Airport: Hwy 101, exit Las Posas Rd, to Pleasant Valley Rd (right), to Airport Way,
follow the posted signs (Camarillo is 45 miles west of Burbank, 45 miles southeast of Santa Barbara)

Heres some more info:
All vehicles must have good brakes, battery hold-downs, and seatbelts.
Helmet Required. (Loaners Available).
• Four Electronically timed runs per driver. Fun runs as time permits.
• This is a drive and work event. All drivers will be scheduled track jobs.
• Event is limited to the rst 60 drivers registered!
• Advance prepaid entry guarantees spot on race day, $50/driver with lunch included!

Ventura County Corvairs CORSA Chapter #931, brings the safe and exciting driving sport of
Autocross back to Ventura County since 2001. The course on the spacious Camarillo Airport
unused runway will test both novice and veteran drivers and their cars.


Since 2001 Ventura County Corvairs (Chapter 931 of the Corvair Society of America) has been
hosting Autocross events at the Camarillo Airport. We will be hosting an open event for all
make and models of automobiles.
What is AutoX?: Autocross is a low to medium speed (max speeds of 60-70 mph) racing event in
which participants (individually) run a course marked by cones for time. A very safe form of
racing that is very easy on the car. Search YouTube for “AutoX” or “Autocross” for examples.

I'll update with more info as I find out more but whos down? It'll be at the camarillo airport again. $50 admission which includes 2 4 lap runs and optional fun runs at $1 each. Cars will have to pass basic safety inspection.

i would go only if i get new tires, and definitely some new shocks. I did horrible with my blown shocks last time.

I'll tell you one thing, when I went the first time I wasn't even slammed but the rubbing didnt allow my wheels to travel properly and i wasn't gripping enough.

I am definitely down..I also need new tires, better shocks, sway bars, strut bars, and of course my next major mod, a roll cage!

I might just go anyways for the fuck of it, but for sure ill go to spectate if anything. oh, and its a slow course, ricky, i dont think youre gonna be boosting that much.

Th autocross was pushed back to May instead of april. IF you guys still want to go let me know asap. The guy from s2ki was capped at 20 cars and already at 19 but maybe I can talk to the organizer to see if I can get you guys in. LMK asap

I am down for sure!!!

I need to do a bunch of maintenance before though. New brake pads, fluid, oil change.

Im down to go. Idk if ill make runs. but ill for sure watch u guys tear it up. I need some harnesses first cause all i have is a lap belt

You dont really need a harness to do autocross. As long as you can pass tech inspection (which is just a short inspection of safety stuff) they'll let you run.
